salted caramel cream cheese frosting

(makes approx 2 cups)



ingredients:

112 g unsalted butter, room temperature (1 stick)

8 oz cream cheese, room temperature

450g powdered sugar (about 4 cups)

1/2 cup caramel (storebought or homemade)

flaky sea salt

milk, as needed


instructions:

1. In standing mixer with paddle attachment, cream together butter and cream cheese.

2. Add powdered sugar, then caramel. Mix until smooth and creamy, adding milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
